Black steel plate is a black steel plate having a coating film formed on the surface of a blackened Zn-Ni plated steel plate by coating a coating composition containing metal ions, water-soluble organic resins, water-dispersed organic resins, glyurea resins and acids. Black steel plate is a very thin, uncoated cold rolled steel plate with high tensile strength and elongation. The United States is developing it to replace aluminum and plastic parts in some cars. The thickness of this steel plate is generally not more than 0.142 inches (0.36 mm), the elongation reaches 30%, and its high strength is generally formed during forming (hardening).
