Galvanized steel coil is a kind of steel with the advantages of rust prevention, corrosion resistance, easy plastic processing and high strength. Its production process is relatively complex and needs to go through the following steps:
1. Pretreatment: Apply a special coating on the surface of the steel coil to protect the steel surface from oxidation, and apply a layer of activator on it to make the coating better adhere to the steel surface.
2. Cleaning: Clean the steel coil to ensure that there are no impurities and dirt on the surface. This step is very critical because if there are any impurities on the steel surface, the adhesion of the coating will be significantly reduced, affecting the quality of the steel coil.
3. Pickling: Spraying corrosion agent on the steel surface to remove the oxidation layer and surface rust of the steel. Pickling can make the surface of the steel coil cleaner, so as to facilitate subsequent coating treatment.
4. Galvanizing: The steel coil is treated by the dip galvanizing process. In this step, the steel coil is dipped in molten zinc liquid, so that the zinc liquid penetrates into the surface of the steel coil to form a sealed galvanized layer.
5. Cold coil: the galvanized steel coil is pressed again to control its thickness and flatness to adapt to different processing requirements.
After these steps are completed, galvanized steel coils can be used in a variety of applications. Its production process is very strict and cumbersome, but galvanized steel coil has many advantages, such as chemical equipment, construction, shipbuilding and automobile manufacturing and other fields have a wide range of applications
