Appearance inspection
Appearance inspection is the most basic inspection work, through the visual inspection of the surface of the stainless steel pipe, you can initially determine whether its quality is qualified. In the appearance inspection, we should pay attention to the following aspects:
1. Surface finish: Qualified stainless steel pipe surface should be smooth and flat, no obvious bumps, cracks and scratches. If there are rust spots or oxides on the surface, it may be a signal of failure.
2. Size deviation: The outer diameter, wall thickness and length of stainless steel pipes are important parameters that need to be checked. By using tools such as gauges or micrometers, the dimensions of stainless steel tubes can be accurately measured and compared with standards.
3. Surface defects: Check whether there are obvious dents, cracks, bubbles and other defects on the surface of the stainless steel pipe. These defects may affect the service life and safety performance of stainless steel pipes.
 

Chemical composition analysis
Chemical composition analysis is one of the important methods to evaluate the quality of stainless steel pipes. Different grades and specifications of stainless steel pipes have different chemical composition requirements, and the accuracy of the chemical composition can be determined whether the stainless steel pipe meets the standard requirements. The commonly used chemical composition analysis methods include spectral analysis, wet analysis and electrochemical analysis.

 

Mechanical properties test
Mechanical property testing is one of the important means to evaluate the quality of stainless steel pipes. Common mechanical properties include tensile strength, yield strength, elongation and so on. The mechanical properties of the stainless steel pipe can be obtained by tensile and compression tests on the standard test equipment, and compared with the standard requirements.

 

Non-destructive detection
Non-destructive testing is a method that can assess the quality of stainless steel pipes without damaging them. Common non-destructive detection methods include ultrasonic detection, X-ray detection and
Eddy current testing, etc. These methods can detect the internal defects, cracks and other problems of stainless steel pipes, and are very important to ensure the quality and safety performance of stainless steel pipes.
