Galvanized channel steel is an effective method of metal corrosion prevention, mainly used for metal structural facilities in various industries. Hot dip galvanized channel steel can be divided into hot-dip galvanized channel steel and hot-blown galvanized channel steel according to different galvanizing processes. It involves immersing the derusted steel parts in molten zinc at around 440~460 ℃ to attach a zinc layer to the surface of the steel components, thereby achieving the purpose of corrosion prevention.
The main method used for surface galvanizing of channel steel is hot dip galvanizing. Hot dip galvanizing is a development of the older hot dip galvanizing method, with a history of 170 years since France applied hot dip galvanizing to industry in 1836. However, in the past 30 years, with the rapid development of cold rolled strip steel, the hot dip galvanizing industry has achieved large-scale development.
Among various coating methods for protecting steel substrates, hot-dip galvanizing is a very excellent one. It is not only deposited with a thick pure zinc layer on steel in a liquid state, but also generates a zinc iron alloy layer after undergoing quite complex physical and chemical reactions. This plating method not only possesses the corrosion resistance characteristics of electrogalvanizing, but also has a zinc iron alloy layer. It also has strong corrosion resistance that cannot be compared to electrogalvanizing. Therefore, this plating method is particularly suitable for various strong corrosive environments such as strong acids and alkali mist.
